it is not bad for the price

I think this course touches base with the huge topic of photoshop filters. It is short, and I think it just shows a little bit over the tip of the iceberg, However I don't regret buying it. Video training gives more than a book. I thought It would explain literally every filter, since there are rules to use some of them, rules that you could never think of. But it is of great help in order to do some experimentation. $20 its a good deal to invest appropriately in learning. I am happy with it. I just thought that it would go filter by filter, everyone.

You aren't going to just start using Elements without some type of manual. I hesitated to get this one in the bookstore because it was so costly, but ended up going back for it because it's just so easy to use. There are step by step instructions, screen shots and a DVD that make learning really foolproof. If you are visual or a hands on learner, this is the book for you. I had my first video done to my satisfaction in one day. The next one will be a lot faster and smoother. I have a great appreciation for this software after using this book.

PRE 9 Classroom in a Book

I'm about halfway through the book. It's well written and fairly easy to follow. There are a few glitches however. I suspect Adobe never had someone unfamiliar with PRE 9 go through the book. The steps don't always work. Also, the pictures of buttons to push are small and dark. It's hard to tell what they look like. Also, a Glossary would be a nice addition.

This is the best I've seen

I'm a medical student whose school uses Bates' guide... I must say that this book FAR surpasses Bates. Not only is the information complete, but the pictures and "jewels" it presents are wonderful. This is also better than the Schwartz (which I own also). If I could choose all over which book to buy of the three, I would DEFINITELY buy this one.

Excellent book, superior picture and graphic, good explanations, If you want to buy an excellent book of semiology...here it is. The CD bring usefull information, and friendly interface for students. A recomendation for the Authors could be insert video of each maneuver and sign, as well as clinical interviews of each capital syndrome.

Tons of info in a less cumbersome format!

This book is like a pocket (almost) sized version of my maternity nursing textbook. Very practical size to carry in your bag or keep in your locker if you are a new nurse or a nursing student. Covers health promotion, conception, pregnancy and complications of pregnancy, labor and labor complications, postpartum and postpartum complications, newborn assessment, complications and nutrition, and medications. This book also has an English-Spanish translation appendix, cultural beliefs appendix and nursing dx section. Pt teaching is also addressed at various points throughout the text. Handy, handy, handy!!!
